The post holder will be a care coordinator responsible for assessing and treating a range of mental health and significant behavioural difficulties in children and young people referred to the team.

* Carry out risk assessments with children & young people and their families routinely, working under the supervision of the team manager and senior clinical supervisor.
* Manage high‑risk and complex presentations, ensuring client‑facing care aligns with team goals.
* Participate in the daily duty rota: screening and managing new referrals, handling telephone queries, and supporting the team as needed.
* Work with other CAMHS practitioners across all disciplines, coordinating care plans through internal and external professional networks.
* Take part in setting and reviewing therapeutic aims, objectives, standards, and strategies to maintain a high standard of care.
* Ensure accurate, up‑to‑date recording and reporting of client contact, meeting CAMHS and professional record‑keeping standards.
* Collect and collate information about individual clinical activity on ePJS.
* Maintain a safe therapeutic environment in collaboration with the team and clients.
* Assure the quality of care by achieving high operational standards in clinical systems.
* Maintain professional standards and attitudes toward the care and treatment of children, young people, and their families.
* Link with other statutory and voluntary agencies, professionals, and other CAMHS teams for referrals and joint work.
* Maintain good relationships and clear lines of communication with other professional agencies and departments, providing specialist advice and support where appropriate.
* Contribute to the effective functioning of the team and service through attendance at relevant meetings, taking responsibilities within the service as negotiated with the line manager.
* Supervise junior members of the team (Band 5–6) or trainees from any discipline.
* Spend approximately 75 % of time in clinical practice.
