We are seeking an experienced Paint Shop Team Leader to take ownership of our client's paint shop operations. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will lead from the front, delivering high-quality powder coating and wet spray finishes while driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency.
You will play a key role in developing the paint shop into a centre of excellence, ensuring production targets are met and quality standards are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Ownership
* Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the paint shop
* Lead, motivate, and develop a team of paint shop operatives
* Plan and allocate work to meet production schedules and priorities
* Set and maintain high standards of workmanship, organisation, and discipline
* Identify and implement improvements to processes, quality, and efficiency
Technical & Production
* Carry out powder coating and wet spraying to a high industrial standard
* Prepare, mask, and inspect components prior to coating
* Operate and maintain spray booths, ovens, and paint equipment
* Perform aluminium pre-treatment processes including Iridite NCP (training provided)
* Work to SOPs, technical data sheets, and safety data sheets
