We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a primary school in the Christchurch area. This is a full-time opportunity within a supportive and well-established school environment.
About the Role
This is a varied position where you will support teaching and learning across the school. The role will include delivering pre-planned lessons, leading small group work, and supporting teachers in maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver lessons in the absence of the class teacher
Support pupils’ learning through targeted interventions
Assist with classroom organisation and preparation
Promote positive behaviour and engagement
Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of all pupils
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
HLTA status or equivalent experience
Experience working within a primary school setting
Confidence leading whole-class sessions
Strong communication and organisational skills
A flexible and proactive approach
