Physiotherapy Team Lead – Walton, Liverpool

Contract: Full Time
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Physiotherapy Team Lead to join our regional clinical team in Walton, Liverpool. This full-time role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys combining hands?on practice with leadership, operational oversight, and service development.
Working closely with the Regional Leadership Team, you will help ensure our services remain safe, effective, well?led, caring, and responsive to the needs of the people we support. Alongside managing your own clinical caseload, you will take responsibility for staffing, rota planning, and day?to?day operational coordination, ensuring smooth clinic operations and consistently high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Management
* Lead and support a team of physiotherapists across clinic sites.
* Oversee performance management, supervisions, appraisals, disciplinaries, and training.
* Ensure regular face?to?face training, one?to?ones, and CPD time for each team member.
* Work with line managers and team leads to develop clinical skills and deliver in?house and external training.
* Collaborate with the regional lead to promote staff wellbeing and job satisfaction.
* Manage annual leave and coordinate cover to maintain service continuity.
* Provide clinical support to a small team as required.
Referring Parties & Service Growth
* Support your team to achieve KPIs for each referring company.
* Ensure KPI expectations are clearly communicated and consistently met.
* Contribute to the of the private service offering, maintaining a strong local client base and positive reputation.
Estates & Operational Support
* Maintain oversight of clinic sites, working with the regional support team on stock, equipment, and maintenance.
* Promote a clean, tidy, and professional clinic environment, encouraging all staff to uphold these standards.
* Participate in regional and national audits to ensure safe, effective, and compliant services.
Skills & Experience
* Accurate, timely clinical notes and high?quality report writing.
* Strong independent management of a clinical caseload.
* Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
* Confident handling of more complex MSK cases with minimal senior support.
Knowledge Requirements
* Understanding of diary management and team utilisation.
* Awareness of SLAs and expectations of referring companies.
* Knowledge of private caseload management within clinic settings.
* Evidence of ongoing CPD and active engagement in professional development.
