A leading global professional services organisation is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high-profile digital transformation initiatives within government and large private sector clients. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence IT strategy and architecture, operate as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, and directly impact technology modernization journeys involving market-leading cloud platforms.
The role
As a Senior Solution Architect, you will define end-to-end architecture, drive architectural governance, and lead the delivery of secure, scalable solutions aligned with business objectives. You’ll lead small teams, guide technical risk management, and collaborate closely with Directors and programme leads to ensure successful delivery. You’ll also contribute to internal architecture profession growth, mentoring, and thought leadership initiatives in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
What you will be doing
* Define and oversee architecture for complex digital services in government and private sectors
* Advise senior clients on IT strategy, architecture roadmaps, and risk mitigation
* Lead a small team and collaborate across functions to deliver high-quality architectural solutions
* Support pre-sales activities, proposals, and market positioning to grow the business
* Contribute to developing career paths and internal capability growth within the architecture community
* Monitor emerging technologies and deliver thought leadership in digital transformation and cloud adoption
What we are looking for
* Proven Solution Architect with hands‑on background in systems engineering, application, and integration architecture
* Strong knowledge of architectural frameworks, governance, and design patterns
* Experience with major cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, and a solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
* Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences and senior stakeholders
* Experience in client‑facing consulting roles with team leadership and stakeholder management skills
* Eligibility for UK security clearance with continuous UK residency and British passport (no dual nationality)
