Job Description
Shift Pattern- Any 5 from 7 Nights
Salary- £15.49ph plus £1.50ph extra for every Saturday and Sunday hour worked, plus £1.50ph extra for working between 18:00-03:59 x 7 nights a week.
1. Optimising all routes and adherence of WTD and drivers’ hours legislation
2. Controlling equipment through training received and sign in / sign out procedure, ensuring legal compliance
3. Ensuring all pallets / loads are secured using loads straps
4. Effectively communicating with the Transport team and other depots
5. Ensuring retailer arrival and departure times, ensuring deliveries and collections are made within the specified windows and all delivery documentation / goods are signed for and uploaded using the in cab tablet.
6. Providing the admin team at end of shift with a completed timesheet, completed delivery paperwork and advising of any equipment defects
7. Communicating any potential failures or changes to the original plan
8. Liaising with delivery staff to ensure any discrepancies on the delivery are identified before moving on to the next delivery / collection
9. Ensuring all accidents, incidents and near misses are reported
10. Working with the driver training & development team to maximise fuel MPG and continuous improvement of Microlise driving standards / techniques.
11. Managing vehicle and trailer cleanliness ensuring that the company’s corporate image is maintained at all time
Qualifications
12. C+E Licence (minimum 12 month experience)
13. Tachograph card
14. DCPC qualification card
15. Maximum 6 points no drug or drink driving, no careless / dangerous driving
16. Attention to detail/accuracy
17. Ability to work without direct supervision
18. Flexible and methodical approach to work start times, end times and training
