The Impact You'll Make
As our General Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our guests’ experience. Your work will help create the atmosphere of comfort and serenity that makes our retreat house so special. Whether you’re preparing a wholesome breakfast, greeting guests with a smile, or ensuring rooms are immaculate, you’ll be part of a small, dedicated team that makes people feel truly at home.
What You'll Do
* Assist in the kitchen — from preparing and serving meals to keeping the space clean and organised.
* Provide a warm, friendly welcome to guests and support them during their stay.
* Carry out housekeeping duties, ensuring bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas are spotless and inviting.
* Help set up and clear away for events, workshops, and group activities.
* Work collaboratively with the retreat house team to maintain a calm, respectful, and supportive environment.
What You'll Bring
* A friendly, approachable manner and a genuine desire to help others feel comfortable.
* Flexibility to work across different tasks — from kitchen work to front-of-house duties.
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Reliability and the ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
* Previous experience in hospitality, housekeeping, or catering is helpful but not essential — a positive attitude and willingness to learn are most important.
