Prospero Teaching is looking for a hardworking SEN Teaching Assistant for a primary school based in Salford, Greater Manchester.
The school is a welcoming and inclusive primary setting with a supportive leadership team that fosters academic excellence and the holistic development of all pupils. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide one-to-one support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
This position is open to all qualified candidates with a passion for supporting children and making a positive impact in education. Prior SEN or LSA experience is preferred but not essential.
Contract / Position Details:
Location: Whitefield, Greater Manchester
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Type of work: One-to-one support with a SEN pupil, assist with lesson activities, help assess pupil progress, support classroom learning, and invigilate tests as required
Start date: November 2025
Duration: 1-term contract (potential for extension)
End date: End of Autumn Term (Term 1)
Contract type: Temporary
Full time/Part time: Full time
Pay rate: Dependent on experience and pay scale
Hours: 8:30 am - 15:30 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
Experience, Training and Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year's experience supporting SEN or working as an LSA in KS1 or KS2 (preferred but not required)
Up-to-date safeguarding training issued within the past year
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
