What will you be doing:
Responsibilities
* Undertake tunnel and structural examinations independently, acting as Examining Engineer where required
* Deliver technical inspections, investigations and surveys, providing engineering review and assessment across infrastructure assets
* Lead on Tunnel Examinations and other complex inspections, ensuring compliance with standards and best practice
* Coordinate teams and manage inspection programmes, including planning methods, access and sequencing
* Produce high‑quality examination reports and monitor progress, identifying and managing delivery risks
* Support project delivery and team development, including client engagement, supplier coordination, mentoring and acting (or working towards) as a Delegated Engineer

Qualifications
* A Degree, HND or HNC in Civil Engineering.
* To hold STE2 and STE6 competencies.
* PTS (Personal Track Safety).
* Strong experience in infrastructure or structural engineering, including inspections, examination and maintenance.
* Proven ability to manage your own workload and contribute to programme delivery.
* The ability to mentor and support junior engineers and examiners.
* Willingness to travel nationally.
* To be medically fit for rail work and hold the appropriate railway medical.
* Full UK Driving License.
