 
        
        Welding QC Inspector - Teesside (Contract Position)
Start Date: November 2025
 Contract Duration: Full-time, 6 days per week - until end of January
 Engagement: Outside IR35
 Location: Teesside
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Welding QC Inspector to join a major Carbon Capture project based in Teesside. This role will support ongoing construction and installation activities by ensuring all welding operations meet the highest quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspections on materials, equipment, and on-site construction/installation activities.
Verify welding parameters, consumables, procedures (WPS/PQR), and welder qualifications.
Review and confirm suitability of welding equipment, pre-heating, heat treatment, and repair processes.
Ensure all inspection and testing documentation is accurately collected, verified, and filed for as-built records.
Raise and document non-conformance reports where required, and support corrective actions.
Monitor subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with approved QC/Inspection Test Plans.
Maintain adherence to Quality Control Plans and ensure all relevant documentation is obtained and properly recorded.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Welding QC Inspector within the Oil & Gas or similar heavy industrial sector.
Certifications: CSWIP 3.1, AWS, or equivalent.
Technical Skills: Proven background in welding inspection and Quality Control processes.
IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft 365.
