About Our Exciting Opportunity Fair Ways are looking for an experienced Quality Improvement Manager to support us in our department’s mission of turning strategic vision into operational reality. Providing high quality services via highly effective operations is a fundamental strategic drive and our quality improvement team provides subject matter expert guidance and support to help realise this vision. About You As Quality Improvement Manager, you will be an experienced improvement professional with a strong track record of leading change in complex, people-focused environments such as health, social care, education, or the third sector. Confident using improvement methodologies like Lean and skilled in coaching and developing others, you will bring excellent communication and influencing skills. Able to engage at all levels, from frontline teams to senior leaders – and a passion for driving quality, efficiency, and impact. In this role you will be involved in exciting and rewarding things like: Champion a culture of continuous improvement, driving collaboration and high performance across Fair Ways. Coordinate and facilitate strategic improvement initiatives to embed sustainable change and enhance service quality. Lead targeted improvement projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and impact on the lives of those we support. Oversee and continuously enhance quality, governance, and risk management frameworks, including audit, assurance, and regulatory compliance processes. Provide coaching, training, and facilitation to build improvement capability at all levels, empowering staff to drive meaningful change and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and excellence. Act as a critical link between frontline services and senior leadership, ensuring that insights, performance data, and service user voices shape improvement priorities and inform strategic decisions. This role will be 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday. All candidates must have a full driving license and have access to the use of a car. Successful candidates will be required to provide an enhanced Disclosure (DBS). This disclosure cost will be met by Fair Ways. You and your specialisms Skills Our internal community is core to achieving our mission of making a difference through passionate care, support, and education. To support this, you will have the following skills and experience: Continuous improvement (CI) Leadership – Proven track record of leading improvement initiatives in complex, service-based environments, including effectively managing and leading a team. Improvement Methodologies – Practical application of Lean, Six Sigma, PDSA, or similar approaches; Green Belt certification (or equivalent) required. Governance & Compliance – Strong understanding of audit, risk, and regulatory frameworks, with experience in designing and maintaining effective governance systems. Coaching & Capability Building – Experience in delivering training, coaching, and facilitation to develop CI skills across teams. Project & Portfolio Management – Skilled in managing multiple improvement projects from planning to delivery; formal project management training or certification (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, APM) is desirable. Data & Insight – Confident in using qualitative and quantitative data to guide decisions, measure impact, and support reporting. Let us look after you!
