Decor Express is excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our growing team. This role is primarily based on the shop floor, where you will play a key part in delivering outstanding customer service and driving sales. You will also support other areas of the business, including telephone and online sales operations. Salary & Benefits Competitive salary of £30,000 £32,000 per year (depending on experience), plus: Annual bonus and sales commission opportunities Employee discount across all store products Company pension scheme Private medical insurance Key Responsibilities Selling a wide range of paints, tools, and fixings in-store, as well as via telephone and online channels Processing cash and card transactions, including refunds, accurately and in line with company procedures Assisting customers with product selection and providing expert advice Responding to customer enquiries in a professional and timely manner Maintaining stock levels and supporting stock takes Handling customer feedback and resolving complaints effectively Requirements Essential: Previous experience in a DIY or Builders Merchant environment, with strong knowledge of paints and tools Excellent customer service skills and professional telephone manner Good spoken English Proactive, sales-driven attitude Ability to work effectively as part of a team A full UK driving licence is advantageous If you are enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and passionate about delivering exceptional service, we would love to hear from you.
