We are seeking a dedicated Teacher to join our multi-site Alternative Provision. This is a vital role working with pupils aged 5-16 who require a different approach to education-one rooted in trauma-informed practice, patience, and high expectations.
The Role
Our pupils all have additional Social, Emotional, or Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and many have further SEND requirements. Because many of our young people have experienced adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), their journey back into education requires a specialist touch.
Key Responsibilities:
Specialist Curriculum Delivery: Lead on the delivery of The King's Trust programmes and Travel & Tourism qualifications, providing pupils with practical, engaging, and vocational pathways to success.
Bridging the Gaps: Planning and delivering lessons that address significant gaps in knowledge and lower levels of prior attainment caused by periods of absence from mainstream school.
Literacy & Numeracy Focus: Supporting pupils who may have difficulties with reading and writing, ensuring they regain confidence and fundamental skills.
Adaptive Teaching: Tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs of each pupil, focusing on emotional regulation and resilience alongside academic progress.
Holistic Support: Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to create a safe, predictable, and nurturing learning environment.Our Environment

Subject Passion: Experience or a strong interest in delivering The King's Trust (formerly Prince's Trust) personal development programmes and Travel & Tourism to engage learners with varied interests.
Resilient Educators: You understand that progress isn't always linear and can maintain a calm, positive presence in the face of challenging behaviour.
Trauma-Informed Practitioners: You recognise the impact of adverse childhood experiences on learning and development.
Creative Planners: You can make the curriculum accessible and engaging for students who may have been disengaged from education for long periods.
Qualified Teachers: Applications are welcome from those with QTS/QTLS or significant experience in an AP/SEN setting.How to Apply
