Part of the strategic plan involves strengthening the finance department with the appointment of a Management Accountant who will supervise a small, capable team and report into the Finance Director. Longer term it is envisaged that the successful candidate will eventually take over running the finance function so this opportunity has excellent development prospects. My client is looking for someone with a good grounding in accounts from an SME, keen to learn and a positive attitude. The business is not without its challenges, many of the systems and processes need modernising, there will also be a variety of project work available providing financial information to support the sales & marketing, warehouse & distribution functions. The main responsibilities will be:
