The Role
* Manage graphic design proposals from typesetting through to design, print and production.
* Brief and advise on design style, format, print production and timescales.
* Develop concepts, graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites.
* Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and font style and size.
* Prepare rough drafts of material based on an agreed brief.
* Review layouts and suggest improvements.
* Liaise with external printers regularly to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality.
* Leads the design of graphics, visualisations and written documents suited to particular audiences and purposes.
* Produces high-quality artwork appropriate for different media and technological constraints.
* Leads and is responsible for all photography and videography requirements of the institution.
Qualification and Experience
* Minimum of a Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design or similar qualification. A First Degree will be an advantage.
* Good knowledge of Web Designing, Photography and Videography.
* Good knowledge of industry standard design software, such as InDesign or Illustrator, plus photo editing, including Photoshop.
* Familiarity with online publication and web technologies (e.g., HTML + CSS).
