Warehouse Manager
Location: Roydon, Essex
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 depending on experience
Hours: 07:00 - 17:00
Our client is a horticultural business established in 2011 specialising in the cultivation of vegetables melons roots and tubers. The company focuses on agricultural crop production and is currently looking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Manager to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong warehouse and stock management experience who enjoys working within a fast paced fresh produce environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day to day warehouse operations including stock control storage and dispatch activities.
* Supervise support and motivate warehouse staff to ensure efficient daily operations.
* Ensure fresh produce is stored handled and distributed correctly to maintain quality standards.
* Coordinate deliveries customer orders and dispatch schedules to ensure smooth operations.
* Maintain high standards of health and safety food hygiene and housekeeping across the warehouse.
* Keep accurate stock records operational documentation and inventory reports.
* Support continuous improvement across warehouse processes and operational efficiency.
Skills and Experience
* Previous warehouse management or supervisory experience.
* Experience working within fresh produce food manufacturing horticulture or agricultural environments would be advantageous.
* Strong leadership organisational and communication skills.
* Good understanding of warehouse operations stock control and inventory management.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage workloads effectively.
* Proactive hands on approach with strong attention to detail.
