Overview
Buckland Manor is a traditional English country house hotel in the Cotswolds with 4 AA red stars, 3 AA rosettes and membership in Relais & Châteaux since 1995. The hotel can offer on-site staff accommodation to help new team members settle into life at the hotel and local area.
Role
As a Sous Chef, you will work alongside the Head Chef to run a busy kitchen and create exciting dishes for guests in our 3 AA Rosette restaurant.
This role is suitable for someone who has previously worked in a similar environment.
Responsibilities
* Preparation of fresh food
* Leadership of a section
* Advanced knife skills
* Advanced knowledge of allergens
* Participating in the cleaning rota
* Labelling of food on your section
* Completing daily kitchen audits
* Writing allergen matrix
* Ordering stock on Procure Wizard
* Management of kitchen team
* Running of service
* Kitchen staff rotas
Requirements / Qualifications
* Hands-on chef who leads from the front
* Knowledge of different cooking styles
* Ability to develop others
* Willingness to be part of the kitchen management team
