Overview
An exciting opportunity for 2 Personal Assistants to provide support to a lady who is a wheelchair user with daily living tasks and access to the local community. No lifting is required for this role.
There are two positions available: one for the morning and one for the evening shift.
Responsibilities
* Morning shift (8.30–10.00am, Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, Sat): help with getting up and dressed and be present during showering; possible meal preparation and light domestic tasks; assistance with paperwork and online ordering; no toileting duties.
* Outings (additional hours available by agreement): support with getting in and out of a specialised wheelchair-accessible hatchback, shopping and local outings as needed.
* Evening shift (8.30pm–9.00 or 9.30pm, by agreement): getting ready for bed and light cleaning tasks.
Person specification
* Cheerful with a sense of humour, common sense, ability to problem solve, and initiative to complete tasks.
* Previous experience not required as training will be provided; a positive attitude and good work ethic are essential.
* Basic computer and internet skills would be helpful for the morning position.
* A car driver is preferred; if the applicant is a driver, a full clean licence is required.
Compensation and benefits
Hourly rate of £15 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and access to a workplace pension scheme.
