We are hiring a Cloud Field Engineer to assist global companies in adopting private cloud infrastructure, Linux, cloud-native operations, and open source applications. Our team applies expert insights to real-world customer problems, enabling enterprise adoption of Linux Ubuntu, OpenStack, Kubernetes, and related technologies.
This role involves diverse responsibilities. Team members act as Linux and cloud solutions architects, designing private and public cloud solutions tailored to workload needs. They work hands-on deploying, testing, and handing over solutions to support or managed services teams. Additionally, they develop software using Python to create Kubernetes operators and Linux infrastructure-as-code.
Ideal candidates are developers who enjoy solving customer problems through architecture, presentations, and training.
Location: This role is home-based.
What Your Day Will Look Like
1. Work across the entire Linux stack, from kernel, networking, storage, to applications.
2. Design and deliver open source code using Python.
3. Architect cloud infrastructure solutions like OpenStack, Kubernetes, Ceph, Hadoop, and Spark on-premises or in public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
4. Mentor and develop colleagues with insights.
5. Foster a healthy, collaborative engineering culture aligned with company values.
6. Work remotely from home.
7. Travel up to 25% for internal and external events.
What We Are Looking For In You
* University degree in Computer Science or related field.
* Practical knowledge of cloud computing concepts & technologies, such as Kubernetes, OpenStack, AWS, GCP, Azure, Ceph, etc.
* Hands-on experience with Linux and networking.
* Intermediate to advanced Python programming skills.
* Proactive, team-oriented, and eager to learn.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
* Strong organizational skills and reliability.
* (Optional) Proficiency in a second language.
