We are currently recruiting for a Personal Assistant/ Support worker to support a 6 year-old boy from Workington who has a diagnosis of Autism.
The boy is non-verbal and requires some assistance with daily tasks, such as personal care needs.
The family are seeking an active PA who can keep up with the boy's energetic lifestyle.
The role will involve supporting the boy in his home environment and out in the local community in addition to a variety of keen interests and activities including (but not limited to):
· Trampolining
· Swimming
· Walking
· Play Parks
The ideal candidate for the role will have patience and the ability to deal with any challenging situations in a calm and respectful manner and be able to build a relationship and trust with the boy.
Experience working with and understanding children living with disabilities is essential for this role.
Candidates must also hold a full driving licence and have access to their own vehicle with adequate business insurance.
Please note that the successful candidate will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS Application for this role (funded and arranged by package).

The support hours are 4hrs per week during term time, increasing to 6hrs per week during school holidays. Further information regarding flexibility with how the hours can be utilised to be discussed with employer direct at interview stage.
Hourly rate of pay is £12.21 p/hour
