Job Description
The Lube and Tire Technician at Monro, also called General Service Tech, is an entry-level Automotive Technician role and a great way to start your career. From day one, you will begin comprehensive mechanic training covering all aspects of your role. As a General Service Technician, you will perform maintenance services on guest vehicles, working as part of a team to deliver 5-star guest experiences, ensuring safe and reliable transportation.
Pay is based on experience, plus incentives if applicable.
Responsibilities
* Change, mount, and install tires
* Wheel removal, tire repair and balancing, tire patch/plug repairs
* Quick lube duties such as lubrication and oil changes
* Inspect and rotate tires
* Basic automotive maintenance like battery installation
* Training provided for alignments, brake services, and scheduled maintenance
Compensation: The hourly range is $15 - $17, based on experience, with an additional $2 flat rate for work performed. Pay will be determined by experience level.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
* HS diploma or GED
* Automotive experience
* Own basic mechanic tools or participate in tool purchase program
* Valid driver’s license
* At least 18 years old
* Positive attitude and collaborative mindset
* Ability to work overhead, stand long periods, lift 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
* Automotive Technician or Lube and Tire experience
