Are you a qualified English teacher looking for a rewarding short-term opportunity? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking passionate and dedicated professionals to work across a variety of welcoming secondary schools in Canterbury from September through to December 2026 in the first instance.
This is a fantastic chance to gain diverse classroom experience, build connections with local schools, and make a real impact on students' learning during a key part of the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Adapt teaching approaches to suit different classroom environments and student needs
* Mark and assess student work, providing constructive feedback
* Maintain a positive and productive classroom atmosphere
* Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
* Collaborate with school staff to support student progress
* Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing standards are upheld at all times
What we're looking for:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Strong subject knowledge in English
* Adaptability and confidence across different school settings
* A commitment to inspiring and engaging students
* Hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references
* Legal Right to Work in the UK
