As a Privacy Lead, your role will be mission critical in ensuring that our healthcare communication tools remain safe, compliant, and trustworthy. You’ll directly contribute to protecting sensitive patient data while enabling faster, safer, and more accessible patient care. As a key member of the Privacy Team within the wider technology organisation at Accurx, you will help build and embed a privacy-first culture across the organisation. You’ll engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including product, engineering, and business teams, to solve complex privacy challenges in a collaborative and innovative way. Leading privacy projects end-to-end, you’ll ensure that privacy considerations are integrated into product development, compliance initiatives, and day-to-day operations, making privacy a core part of everything we do. The Unique Challenges You’ll Solve This role goes beyond routine tasks or compliance checklists. As Privacy Lead, you will: Act as Accurx’s expert on data protection laws, including UK GDPR and PECR, and advise on how these can be practically implemented in a technology organisation. Partner strategically with Product, Engineering, Go-to-Market teams, and senior stakeholders to embed privacy by design in everything we build. Recommend pragmatic, compliant, and scalable controls to mitigate privacy risks while enabling innovation, with a focus on AI implementation in our products. Lead privacy risk assessments, manage data subject rights requests, and coordinate data breach responses. Oversee third-party and vendor privacy risks, ensuring all partners meet required data protection standards. Keep the business informed on privacy law changes and provide guidance to support strategic, privacy-conscious decision-making.
