HWRC Weekend Site Operative
Salary - £25,854 - £27,269 (Grade 4)
Hours - 16 hours per week, across Saturday and Sunday
Contract type - Part time, permanent
Are you a hardworking individual looking to work in a dynamic environment? We are seeking a dedicated Weekend Site Operative to join our team and play a crucial role in maintaining the safe, efficient, and effective operation of our Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) sites.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the smooth running of the HWRC site, completing assigned duties that support safety and efficiency.
2. Take on a leadership role as the responsible person for the site in the absence of the HWRC Manager/Supervisor.
3. If qualified, operate non-HGV mobile plant and vehicles to meet high standards laid out in work directives and schedules.
4. Safely drive and handle equipment, adhering to legal and council guidelines, ensuring compliance with all operational requirements.
5. Assist customers and resolve issues they may encounter while using our services, representing the Council professionally and courteously.
Role Requirements:
* Previous experience working in a HWRC or waste management environment.
* A positive attitude, enjoyment of outdoor work, and readiness to step up when needed.
* Experience or qualifications to operate non-HGV mobile plant and vehicles (preferred).
* Strong communication skills and the ability to represent the Council professionally, assisting customers effectively.
