Test & Inspection Technician

Our client, a respected precision engineering manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Test & Inspection Technician to join their growing team. This role ensures all products meet strict quality, performance and customer requirements, playing a crucial part in the company’s commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Inspect and test new and returned products to the required specifications
* Report non-conformance using internal databases, NCRs and relevant procedures
* Carry out ESS testing using approved equipment and processes
* Complete all associated documentation promptly and accurately
* Review and update test documentation and Work Instructions
* Report deviations to Product Engineering for action
* Support continual improvement activities across the department
* Assist in other operational areas when required
Skills & Experience
* English, Maths and a science subject as minimum educational requirements
* Quality-focused mindset with engineering appreciation
* Experience in an engineering or production quality environment
* Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings
* Skilled in using mustimeters, oscilloscopes and hand tools
* Able to work independently and identify simple root causes
* Awareness of the FFF methodology for building quality
* Competent with MS Word and Excel
* Strong eye for detail and dexterity
* Able to identify and report improvement opportunities
Knowledge & Behaviours
* Awareness of ESD measures
* Understanding of company product lines (training provided)
* Positive attitude, motivated and accountable
* Team‑focused, customer‑focused and solution‑driven
* Able to work alone but knows when to seek support
Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be eligible for SC‑level security clearance.
