Person In Charge/ Supervisor (Nursery Plus/Wraparound)

Role:
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to work alongside us to launch and lead our brand new wraparound care facility. The position will require working within and leading a team of childcare practitioners delivering high quality childcare in our early years setting for children aged 3 to 4 years.
The successful applicant will work alongside and be supported by the Responsible Individual, and will be responsible for:
●The daily planning and management of each session and delivery of activities
●Recording of daily registers/parental fees and payments with the support of the school office manager.
●Working within the National Minimum Standards for regulated childcare and the Care Inspectorate Wales
●Supporting and managing staff
●Sourcing equipment and resources
●Liaising with agencies and funding partners: CIW, Local Authority, Early Years Wales, Board of Trustees/ Management Committee
Qualifications/Requirements:
Essential: Level 3 Children’s Care, Play, Learning and Development or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Childcare/Early Years
Desirable: Level 4/5 Diploma in Leadership for Children’s Care Learning and Development.
Essential: Leadership experience in a Childcare setting
Experience working in an Early years setting
Knowledge of the 30-hour Childcare Offer &
National Minimum Standards for Day Care
Desirable: First Aid certificate / Food Hygiene / Safeguarding Cat C
Hours of work:
Part time – Term Time
22.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday within the school day) 38 weeks per year
