Are you a trained Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker with an interest in Adult Mental Health? Bournemouth West is recruiting Community Mental Health Nurse/Practitioners.
The Community Mental Health team provides recovery-focused treatment plans for individuals with severe mental illness. You will have recent experience working in a mental health environment and be able to apply engagement and recovery philosophies in your work with service users, with an awareness of the Mental Health Act.
As a Community Mental Health Nurse/Practitioner, you will manage a caseload of patients and deliver a comprehensive, accessible, and responsive mental health service to patients and their families. You should be a committed, dynamic, motivated professional with excellent communication and organizational skills, capable of prioritizing your work. The role offers support and opportunities for skill development, along with structured supervision and a supportive team environment.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
New employees will receive a £3,000 Recruitment Premium lump sum upon starting, plus a £1,500 Retention Premium (pro-rata) per annum, paid monthly, subject to review and continued employment.
You will contribute to effective multidisciplinary working within the community mental health service, building effective liaison with community, primary, secondary, and tertiary services to provide holistic care based on individual needs and service development.
Effective communication in verbal and written forms is essential, especially when handling complex, sensitive, or contentious information, using de-escalation, mediation, and resolution skills, along with professional Duty of Candour.
You will evaluate care and take appropriate actions to improve quality standards through clinical audits.
