As a Maintenance Assistant, your responsibilities will include ensuring that the service's facilities are fit for purpose, conducting gardening tasks, and regularly auditing to identify and repair faults, thereby ensuring safety for service users, staff, and visitors.
You will work alongside an established team, handling all maintenance-related tasks, liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service.

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be:
* Maintaining the service, buildings, facilities, and equipment to ensure they are fit for purpose
* Using good DIY skills to ensure the safety of service users
* Performing regular checks and maintenance
* Assisting in the repair and maintenance of all buildings
* Supporting all decorating tasks
* Liaising with a manager to report faults and defects
* Participating in a 1-week on-call rota for emergency maintenance
* Coordinating with contractors on-site and completing all necessary paperwork and tool checks
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Follow systems and procedures
* Have previous maintenance experience
* Work effectively both as part of a team and independently
* Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times to ensure high-quality service
* Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings

Dunnock View is a 42-bed service providing treatment for men and women affected by trauma and mental health disorders.
A trauma-informed care model is used to focus on length of stay, ensuring individuals can move safely and quickly to the most appropriate environment.
Service users may be suffering from acute mental illness, psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality disorder, dual diagnosis, self-harm, or substance misuse issues.
