Financial Accountant - Greenford - 3/6-month contract - £250 - £300 - 3 days from home
My client requires a Financial Accountant to cover for a busy period. This is a varied role working in a global business who can also offer flexibility to staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Own monthly financial accounting and reporting (P&L and balance sheet), including UK entity consolidation
* Deliver month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes (accruals, prepayments, journals)
* Manage SAP BPC reporting for UK and EU (actuals, latest estimates, budgets)
* Prepare and manage latest estimates, including P&L and working capital aligned to business forecasts
* Lead financial reporting, planning, and systems activities across UK and EU entities
* Ensure accurate, timely financial delivery and compliance with group policies
* Provide clear performance insight to support decision-making
* Partner with shared services and cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and continuous improvement
* Produce monthly performance reporting (full P&L from revenue to EBIT) and provide actionable insights
* Support financial planning across short-, medium-, and long-term horizons
* Oversee shared service centre (PIVOT) delivery, ensuring process compliance, KPI performance, and effective collaboration
* Maintain and improve financial systems and data integrity (SAP S/4 HANA, BI tools, data mapping, master data)
* Manage approvals and processes across vendors, customers, products, and payments within SAP
* Lead audit support activities, including statutory accounts, disclosures, and audit documentation
* Partner with the Finance Controller on audits, projects, and ad hoc initiatives
* Drive continuous improvement, digitisation, and process optimisation across finance operations
About You
* Part or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent)
* Strong experience in financial reporting, planning, and systems within a complex environment
* SAP S/4 HANA (or similar ERP) experience
* Advanced Excel and strong financial acumen
* Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused with a continuous improvement mindset
* High level of ownership, attention to detail, and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
