About The Role
The Finance Assistant will be responsible for the accuracy and completeness of processing of expenditure, income and general financial duties across the Hillcrest Group.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
* Assist with maintaining the purchase ledgers for Group companies including processing invoices within document management system.
* Process purchase orders in line with procedures.
* Assist with maintaining the sales and rent ledger for Group companies including producing invoices and credit notes, posting receipts and reconciling control accounts.
* Support and maintain the income and expenditure cashbook and bank account administration and reconciliation for Hillcrest Group companies
* Support and assist with journals for the production of monthly management accounts
* Complete data analysis as required by the business to allow details review of income and expenditure
Customer And Partnership Working
The Finance Assistant will maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Liaise with outside bodies including but not limited to: Local Authorities, suppliers and contractors, utility companies and external auditors.
* Liaise with internal customers to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all areas of expenditure across the Group.
About You
You will:
* Hold a qualification equivalent to a minimum of Level 5 of the SCQF Framework
* Have proven previous accountancy and processing experience in a Finance Team.
* Previous experience of accountancy packages and software
* Good communication and numerical skills
* Be enthusiastic, confident, reliable and highly motivated
