Job Overview
You will lead the delivery, development and continuous improvement of Adult Social Work Services as part of the Health & Social Care Partnership. As a key member of the Integrated Complex and Critical Care Services management team you will provide professional leadership, drive performance improvement and support the Partnership’s strategic aims. You will be responsible for operational line management of Adult Services Social Work teams, contributing to the redesign and transformation of services to ensure effective, person-centred support.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the Adult Social Work teams, including staffing, development and performance.
* Redesign and transform services to improve outcomes for adults across Fife.
* Work collaboratively with internal and external partners at local and national levels.
* Represent the Council and Partnership, ensuring high standards of governance, quality and regulatory compliance.
* Implement and monitor financial management of Adult Services.
* Deliver efficiencies through project management and best practice initiatives.
* Maintain comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation and statutory requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
* Managerial experience within a social work setting.
* Experience in service and resource management.
* Recognised Social Work qualification (SCQF level 9 or equivalent).
* Experience managing professional teams, supporting staff development and navigating complex staffing situations.
* Proven ability to lead and manage change, with strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
* Experience of collaborative working across partnerships.
* Strong report writing, presentation, communication and IT skills.
* Understanding and experience of Health & Safety responsibilities.
* Financial management skills.
* Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation and statutory requirements.
* Project management skills and ability to deliver efficiencies.
