About The Role - 12 month Fixed Term Contract
The main purpose of the CBM role is to drive and deliver a mutually profitable plan for selected brands and categories across Ocado and other nominated customers. This role requires a passionate and determined individual who has a proactive, curious approach to work and a self-starter attitude to learning and developing themselves while being a role model to early talent through their action’s day to day.
Due to the strategic nature of this role, the individual will need to represent the sales function and be able to work cross-functionally to be an Active Contributor to Multi-Functional Teams, and Wider Project Work.
Key Responsibilities
* Driving growth acceleration with your nominated customers, sustainably (managing NS and GM of our business across select brands in GB and Ireland).
* Own the P&L for selected brands and categories, driving accretive results and best in class execution.
* Act as a driving force in the Pureplay space and understand how to manage complex customers with high demand and operational volatility.
* Driving effective and accretive brand P&Ls, Promotion investment, PPA, and Trading Opportunity with the customer.
* Work closely with demand and supply to manage optimal availability and forecasting through the entire E2E process.
* Ceate an environment for all to benefit across all sales channels and categories.
* Role Model for early talent and work to drive capability in the area across the wider team.
* Assess a range of scenarios from the customer’s perspective, so that our competitive position is continually strengthened and challenged for improvements.
Qualifications / Skills
* This role requires a high level of working cross-functionally within the business, particularly Marketing, Brand, QSC, Category, NRM and Media teams internally, plus driving agency performance and support externally.
* Strong experience of monitoring perormance, data and systems to see what can be refined.
* Understanding of how an Account Manager/Buyer relationship works.
* Broad business knowledge and market understanding.
* A tenacious and entrepreneurial approach in the role is key to building and sustaining long term relationships both internal and external.
* Financial numeracy to be able to build strategically sound, financially robust proposals that exploit opportunities.
* Interest and energy to support channel and customer development as an emerging leader in the business.
