Job Title: Quality Technician (PQC) - Afternoons – 4 Day week
Salary: £27,855 rising to £29,279 upon achieving role objectives, with a 20% shift allowance for afternoon shift
Contract: Full-time & permanent
Location: Desford, Leicestershire
The Opportunity:
As a Quality Technician Product Quality Controller (PCQ) within the Quality department, you will support efforts to maintain and improve the quality of machines leaving the Desford facility. You will conduct audits on parts and partially or fully assembled machines following inspection standards.
What you will do:
* Conduct audits on parts and machines following inspection standards and best practices.
* Record defect information in detail via electronic or manual processes.
* Investigate, analyze, and identify root causes; operate the NCM process.
* Conduct basic visual and dimensional inspections during investigations.
* Rework parts and machines as needed.
* Be willing to work a multi-shift pattern.

What You Can Demonstrate:
* Quality Operations: Effective communication across departments and proactive review of reject areas.
* Quality Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and standards, and inspect parts/machines for conformity.
* Safety: Proactive safety management and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Process Improvement: Evaluation of production methods, continuous improvement, and innovation using lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
* Prioritisation: Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
What You May Have:
* Experience with Material Requirements Planning System (Glovia).
* Advanced skills in reading engineering drawings.
* Proficiency with dimensional inspection tools.
