Job responsibilities
Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare works with the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Responsibilities include monitoring residents well-being, contributing to person-centred care planning, supporting residents with medication, and supervising and developing staff. You will also be a key point of contact for residents, relatives and visitors, and health and social care professionals.
* Monitor the wellbeing of each resident and note any changes affecting care or care plans, ensure new needs are met, and amend records accordingly.
* Contribute to the person-centred care planning process, including implementing, monitoring and monthly evaluations.
* Support residents with their medication requirements.
* Undertake staff supervision and support staff development where required.
* Act as a main point of contact for residents, relatives and visitors, and liaise with health and social care professionals; handle reasonable requests and escalate concerns or complaints as needed.
About you

* Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
* Have 2 years of experience in a similar care environment.
* Be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Have a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
* Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
