As a Drill Fitter, you will work with a highly supportive team and report directly to the Drills Supervisor.
The Drill Service business unit offers product-specific career pathways, from building basic product knowledge to becoming a Product Support Advisor or a Field Service Specialist for Blast Hole Drills and Hydraulic Mining Shovels.
Location: FIFO
Roster Options: 8 days on, 6 off OR 14 days on, 7 days off OR 14 days on, 14 days off. 12.5 hours (including 30-minute meal break) - DAY SHIFTS ONLY
What you'll do:
* Proactively assist with drill preventative maintenance schedules, collaborating with maintenance teams to plan work scopes and troubleshoot issues.
* Maximise operation and product reliability of the fleet of Caterpillar blast hole drills.
* Develop technical reports and implement product instruction/training strategies to enhance drill product knowledge across the team.
* Increase the performance, reliability, and availability of designated drills.
Skills & Experience:
* Australian-recognised Heavy Diesel or Mobile Plant Mechanic Trade certificate.
* Previous field service or mine site experience.
* Technical aptitude and experience with surface blast hole drill rigs.
* Willingness to travel to various mine sites.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills to build and maintain successful relationships.
* Excellent communication skills and commitment to safe work practices.
* OEM or dealership experience is advantageous.
