The Supply Interruptions Reporting Technician role will focus primarily on providing accurate and auditable data, as well as consistent and reliable data within the field, which enables analysis and generation of our unmeasured customers' allowances for end-of-year leakage numbers.
What you'll do
We are looking for a regional Supply Interruptions Reporting Technician to work proactively reporting Interruptions data for business and regulatory performance alike. The role and data are a critical part of the continuous monitoring and improvement aligned with this key performance commitment.
Specific responsibilities will include:
1. Working within the regulatory requirements and company methodology.
2. Collating and publishing monthly performance statistics for Supply Interruptions (SI) performance.
3. Analyzing timelines from events and incidents to verify the duration and extent of customer supply interruptions.
4. Maintaining the corporate data set.
5. Liaising with stakeholders to verify data.
6. Identifying appropriate customer compensation requirements within statutory timescales.
7. Overseeing hydraulic modelling of selected incidents to verify outcomes.
8. Monitoring low pressure and no water customer contact data.
9. Working to develop efficiencies in data systems and reporting methods.
Qualifications and skills include:
* Excellent and proven communication skills at all business levels.
* A meticulous approach to detail.
* Excellent IT skills.
* Data interpretation skills.
* A thorough understanding of water supply network operation and hydraulics.
* Flow and pressure data logging knowledge (desired but not essential).
* An understanding of audit processes and data compliance.
