As a Teaching Assistant, your primary role is to cultivate a supportive learning environment, ensuring the well-being of students while maximizing their potential. Your responsibilities may extend to providing support for care needs when required, implementing positive behavior management, and tailoring your approach to each child. Building strong and supportive relationships with pupils, you'll create a safe and enjoyable learning atmosphere, fostering independence, personal development, and upholding high behavioral expectations.
Furthermore, you'll collaborate with the class teacher to deliver a top-notch, differentiated curriculum, with the goal of enabling each pupil to reach their full potential across all areas of learning. Experience & Qualifications:
1. Working towards Level 2 award in Support work in schools or an equivalent is desirable
2. Classroom experience is desirable
3. GCSE Maths and English Level 2/C or above qualification is essential.
4. Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
5. Knowledge or experience of pupils with SEN or SEMH/ASD
6. Commitment to the role, the desire to put the child first and treat them as an individual
7. Be positive and creative in meeting pupils' needs
