Head of Service Enablement, you'll lead a team at the centre of operational change, ensuring that new services — whether delivered internally or through partners — are fit-for-purpose, robustly tested, and ready for live operation. You’ll shape the service enablement strategy, own critical delivery frameworks, and lead on high-impact programmes. You’ll also be the go-to expert for service readiness across the DCC — trusted by execs, delivery teams, and external partners alike. What will you be doing? Leading end-to-end service transition for new and changing services — from planning to go-live and hyper care. Creating and embedding governance frameworks, risk controls, and readiness testing (OAT). Defining and driving service enablement strategy aligned to business and regulatory goals. Leading a high-performing team of managers and analysts to deliver continuous improvement. Engaging senior stakeholders across DCC, service providers, and customers. Ensuring services are scalable, compliant, and performance-assured (KPIs/SLAs). What are we looking for? Proven leadership in complex, regulated service environments (e.g. energy, telecoms) Expertise in ITIL/service management frameworks and operational change Strong senior stakeholder management and team leadership skills Experience with large-scale service transitions or migrations (Desirable) ITIL certification, experience in smart metering/energy/telecoms, financial acumen About the DCC: At the DCC, we believe in making Britain more connected, so we can all lead smarter, greener lives.
