Overview
Chemistry Teacher – Full-time maternity cover starting September 2025 at a mixed secondary school in Greenwich (MPS Inner London). ECTs welcome to apply. The role covers Chemistry to KS5 and General Science at KS3.
The Role
In this role you will be teaching General Science and Chemistry from KS3 to KS5. You will join a supportive and dynamic Science Department which benefits from the school’s Mathematics & Science Specialism with 15 modern and well-equipped laboratories. Computers in multiple laboratories and mobile wireless laptops with data-logging facilities place the Science Department at the cutting edge of science information technology.
At Key Stage 3, pupils receive a solid foundation in the Science National Curriculum, with GCSE courses developed further, including Separate Sciences. Many students progress to A Levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, achieving above average grades. The school also offers a BTEC in Applied Science which you will be involved in teaching.
