About Us:
We are a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in the WN4 area looking to appoint a Sports Coach & Teaching Assistant to support our Physical Education department and wider school community.
Role Purpose:
As our Sports Coach & Teaching Assistant, you will assist with general classroom support and pupil engagement throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and inclusive sports and physical activity sessions to students
* Support teachers in the classroom as a Teaching Assistant, helping with learning activities
* Encourage positive behaviour, teamwork and pupil wellbeing
* Assist with lunchtime and after-school sports clubs and activities
* Be a positive role model and motivator for students
Person Specification:
* Previous experience as a Sports Coach, PE assistant, or similar role
* Passion for working with young people and an interest in supporting learning
* Ability to work as part of a team and support classroom staff
* Good communication and relationship-building skills
* DBS check (or willing to obtain)
