Pipe Dream Fittings is a well established business, selling both pipe fittings and bespoke furniture. We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our team and manage the upholstery function within our warehouse. The role involves working on a variety of furniture items and ensuring high standards of craftsmanship are maintained. As this is a brand new role for the business the successful applicant will be expected to complete other tasks within our furniture division e.g. assembling furniture, painting shelves while the upholstering side of the business was taking off.
Main Job Responsibilities:
* Performing upholstery work on a range of furniture items including benches, chairs, and bespoke pieces.
* Managing and maintaining upholstery tools and materials in the warehouse.
* Collaborating with the warehouse team to prioritise and complete projects efficiently.
* Inspecting and repairing existing furniture to meet quality standards.
* Handling customer orders and ensuring timely completion of upholstery projects.
* Providing input on material selection and designs.
* Maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
* Adhering to health and safety regulations within the warehouse.
The Ideal Applicant:
* Must have proven experience in upholstery work.
* Demonstrates excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Able to work effectively within a team environment.
* A genuine passion for upholstery and furniture restoration.
