Arriva is looking for a skilled and motivated PSV Shift Engineer / Working Chargehand to join our engineering team at our Grays garage. This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer ready to take the next step into a leadership role while remaining hands‑on.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Carrying out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a modern fleet of buses
* Supporting and supervising engineers on shift
* Ensuring all vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
* Diagnosing faults and implementing effective solutions
* Assisting with shift planning and workshop organisation
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience working with PSV/HGV vehicles
* Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred)
* Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
* Ability to lead by example in a fast‑paced environment
* A proactive, team‑focused attitude
