ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Activities Assistant at a Barchester independent mental health hospital, you'll deliver varied activities to create a positive, motivational and fulfilling environment for our patients. We want to make sure each individual can pursue the interests and activities they most enjoy which means you'll have a real impact on our patients' lives. The Activities Assistant role involves helping us deliver an imaginative and fun entertainment programme that covers a wide range of pastimes, social activities, outings and events. Put simply, you'll help every patient to live as independently as possible and enhance their involvement with family, their friends and the local community.
ABOUT YOU
You don't need any specific experience to join us as an Activities Assistant, so you could come from any background. What's important is that you have a sense of fun, creativity, and the ability to encourage and motivate others. You'll also need to have that little extra something a real interest in the people we support. Enthusiastic and empathetic, you're someone who'll really enjoy helping our patients to live their lives to the full. Bring us all of that, and you'll have every opportunity to develop your skills further with a range of courses designed to build your confidence in every aspect of your role.
