Job Description
* Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, and bakery items to five‑star standards
* Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation across all baked goods
* Support daily production for breakfast, banqueting, restaurants, and in‑room dining
* Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and allergen control procedures
* Assist with menu development and seasonal bakery offerings
* Monitor stock levels, manage ingredients, and minimise waste
* Collaborate with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
* Train and guide junior team members in bakery techniques and standards
Qualifications
* 2-3 years previous experience as a Baker or Pastry Commis/Chef de Partie in a luxury or high‑volume environment
* Strong knowledge of artisanal baking techniques, dough handling, lamination, and pastry fundamentals
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to Fairmont brand standards
* Ability to work early mornings and manage production timelines efficiently
* Strong organisational and communication skills
