LGV Driver
Our client, a global organisation is currently seeking an LGV Driver to join their team based in Great Yarmouth
This is a full time, permanent position, based in Great Yarmouth.
Hours:
45 hours per week Monday – Friday 45 min paid break)
Overtime paid at X 1.5 Monday – Saturday & X2 Sunday
This role will require long distance driving with overnight trips.
Qualifications
1. Class 1 LGV Licence
2. ADR License
3. Tanks Dangerous Goods by Road Certificate
4. Digi Tachograph Card
Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours
5. Experience of road tanker operations including the transport and safe handling of flammable/corrosive/toxic materials
6. Fully conversant with all LGV driving regulations and legislation.
7. Thorough understanding of waste documentation and special waste handling
8. Thoroughly familiar with relevant safety procedures for tanker and waste operations
9. Up to date knowledge of changes in road traffic laws
10. Ability to work stand-alone, demonstrating initiative and ownership, while a positive contributor to the wider team.
11. Customer focused and the ability to build and maintain effective relationship, both internal and external
12. Accustomed to working effectively in a fast-paced environment, flexible and can adapt to changing workloads and priorities, where high standards are not compromised under pressure.
Roles and Responsibilities
13. Distance tanker operations ensuring safe handling and transportation of a wide range of hazardous materials and products
14. Operation of curtain sided vehicle
15. Carryout various LGV disciplines safely and efficiently to include waste vacuum road tankers and curtain sided vehicles.
16. Inspection and maintenance of associated accessories and equipment including pumps, valves, tanks, vessels, hoses and couplings
17. Completion and processing of all relevant customer and regulatory paperwork
18. Ensure that all activity is co-ordinated in accordance with relevant company guidelines and statutory regulations
19. Attend team brief / safety meetings as required
20. Ensure high standards of housekeeping are maintained with all areas of responsibility
