We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team in delivering an exceptional guest experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of a department within a busy hotel and make a real impact.
About the Role:
As Head Housekeeper, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the housekeeping department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across guest rooms and public areas. You will lead by example, motivating and developing your team to maintain excellence and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, train, and supervise a team of housekeepers to deliver exceptional standards.
* Ensure all guest rooms and public areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
* Keep training records up to date and ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed and documented.
* Work closely with the maintenance team to report and resolve faults promptly.
* Escalate any unresolved maintenance or operational issues to senior management.
* Manage stock levels of cleaning supplies and linen, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
* Develop cleaning schedules and ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in a housekeeping supervisory role within the hospitality sector.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team.
* Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
* A positive attitude and a drive to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
* A good understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
