Key responsibilities
* Developing technical documentation: create instruction manuals, user guides, white papers, and online help to communicate technical information effectively.
* Collaborating with teams: work closely with product managers, engineers, and subject matter experts to gather the details needed for clear and accurate documentation.
* Creating audience-focused content: adapt content to meet the needs of your target audience, whether they're entry-level users or experienced professionals.
* Proofreading and revisions: ensure all content adheres to brand standards while maintaining accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
* Managing documentation projects: oversee timelines, prioritize deliverables, and work within software development cycles to meet deadlines.
Qualifications and skills
* Education: a minimum of a bachelor's degree in English, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
* Work experience: at least 2-5 years of experience in technical writing or a similar field.
* Technical skills: proficiency with tools like Microsoft Office, Excel and specialized tools such as MadCap Flare or Adobe FrameMaker. Familiarity with project management tools is a plus.
* Writing skills: strong writing skills and the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
* Soft skills: strong problem‑solving, organizational abilities and excellent communication skills for collaborating across teams.
* Knowledge of technical fields: experience working in information technology, healthcare or software development environments is ideal.
