Job Overview
The Assistant Program Director supports the Program Director in managing a recovery support center focused on peer-to-peer services for individuals recovering from substance use disorder. The role involves supervising staff and volunteers, overseeing data collection and reporting, managing operations during evening and weekend hours, and engaging with the community and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Program Director in daily operations and staff supervision
* Manage center operations during evening and weekend hours
* Oversee data collection and reporting
* Coordinate outreach and community engagement
* Support peer-led social events and activities
* Represent the center at meetings and conferences
Minimum Qualifications
* Support and work within a diverse recovery community; minimum 5 years of recovery experience
* Understanding of substance use disorder and recovery processes
* Knowledge of community building and planning
* Strong leadership, critical thinking, and organizational skills
* Proficiency with computers and relevant software
* Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel within the region and occasionally to other states
