Overview
Senior/Chief Cardiac Physiologist role at Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust. The Cardiac Investigations department provides a Physiologist-led Pacing and High Voltage service with home monitoring and implants for brady, tachycardia, and CRT devices. The team offers Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinic services, Complex Echocardiography, TILT table testing, and Loop Recorder implants. We have a comprehensive Heart Failure service as part of a multi-disciplinary team and high-volume PCI with IVUS, OCT, laser, and rotablation across two cath labs. The facility includes a modern digital echo lab with satellite echo and CRM clinics, supported by proactive Cardiologists.
The right candidate will have a BSc or equivalent. A Recruitment and Retention bonus is offered in line with the University Hospitals network, with opportunities to gain experience in Cardiac Rhythm Management and to pursue IBHRE/BHRS accreditation if not already achieved.
Responsibilities
* Work in the cath lab performing angiograms and PCI.
* Depending on experience, run Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) clinics and remote monitoring.
* Depending on experience, perform implants.
* Conduct some non-invasive diagnostic tests (e.g., ETT/TILT/Analysis).
Qualifications
* BSc or equivalent.
