Job Purpose

Your enthusiasm and passion for delivering high quality community health and wellbeing programmes for older adults will be driven by a commitment to co‑coordinate outstanding services that are valued and embedded in local community life, improving the enjoyment, health and wellbeing of local people. Contributing to the provision and design of innovative and modern activities and the development of wellbeing hubs, you will enhance opportunities for our venues to support individuals to improve their health and wellbeing whilst maximising use of community wellbeing hubs to become thriving, customer‑focussed facilities.


Rate of Pay

Annual salary: £29,666 – £31,613. Hours of work will be 35 hours per week to be worked Monday – Thursday 9 am – 5.00 pm (50 minutes unpaid lunch break applicable daily) and Friday 9.00 am – 4.00 pm (40 minutes unpaid lunch break daily). Due to the nature of the duties of this post occasional weekend and evening work will be required.

The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants for such posts will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with either or both of these groups as appropriate, or if they are already a Scheme member, be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update, before any formal offer of employment can be made by East Ayrshire Leisure. Please note: PVG members' records are constantly updated with any new vetting information that arises. Any information that is disclosed on a PVG Scheme Record or Scheme Record Update, if relevant to the post being applied for, will be discussed with the applicant prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
